Visa launches “Visa Everywhere Initiative: Women's Global Edition” to celebrate women and their innovative ideas Today, March 8, on International Women's Day 2019, Visa launches Visa Everywhere Initiative: Women's Global Edition , to celebrate the unprecedented number of women starting businesses around the world. This competition invites women entrepreneurs from around the world to take on FinTech and Social Impact challenges for a chance to win $100,000 in each area. The program will culminate with a final event taking place during the kick-off of the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™.

Now, for the first time, the program will transition from regionally focused events to a global program focused on FinTech and Social Impact to shine the spotlight on millions of women entrepreneurs and Visa's commitment to micro and small businesses catalyzing change. To participate, companies with at least one female founder must present solutions that address FinTech and Social Impact challenges. FinTech Challenge: Leveraging your company's unique capabilities, how can your solution help transform consumer and/or merchant payment experiences locally, regionally, or globally? Social Impact Challenge: How can women entrepreneurs around the world drive social impact by supporting sustainable and equitable livelihoods and strengthening local/regional economies? You can participate from all corners of the world: eligible participants will be divided into 6 regions: North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Europe (excluding France), France, Africa / Middle East. Each region will send one winner per challenge to the finals in Paris.
